* add "home" "riders" and "drivers" links to every page.  
* make mailing lists of sorts
  -  (done) make it easy to mail an entire car
  -  recieve changes to the car you're in
  -  recieve announcements of new cars (time limited)
  -  (done) recieve announcements of new cars (permanent)
  -  (done) change new cars list to use mailman
  -  discussion list for random going up call for friends list.
* (done) allow passengers to request a ride up.  Say I want to go this weekend
  but I don't have a car, I can still sign up instead of waiting for a
  driver to offer.  
* add a sense of place to drivers, both starting and ending. You should 
  be able to say that you're leaving from the south bay and are planning
  on going to northstar instead of kirkwood without the notes section.
  This is vital for looser weekend trips instead of just one big trip.
* allow passengers to sign up for a restricted mailing list: I want to
  know if there is any car added before this friday.  Used if you're
  going up on a trip this weekend so you want to get on the list, but
  you don't want spam for the weekends you're not going up.
* (done) allow drivers to update their car stats 
    you want to add notes, need to change the departure time, decide
    it's too crowded, etc.
* automate changes in the car -> email passengers
* impliment good password stuff
  everyone should have a password
  people should be able to remove themselves from a car
  drivers should be able to remove passengers from their car
* impliment a login / profile system.  maintain history.  :)
* allow people to request an anonymous email address, craigs-list style
* Add reason for leaving to remove command.  When someone leaves a car, 
  or the driver kicks them out, email should be sent to both parties 
  explaining why.
* remove display of email addresses from the website.  Send mail to
  people, but don't display contact info publicly
* emails to drivers, passencgers, should include date and time of the trip
* fix passenger stuff to reuse data more effectively
* make clear the date in a car is when it's going up, not when it was posted.
